History Of Diwali

First of all, wishing you all a very happy Diwali 2017, which we are celebrated in the month of October 19th, and guess what we are going to be discussed in the history of Diwali. Diwali is a Hindi festival of light celebration celebrated every year in autumn in the northern hemisphere, (spring in southern hemisphere).it’s usually an official holiday in Fiji, Guyana, India, Malaysia, Mauritius, Mauritius, Myanmar Nepal, Singapore and recently Sindh province in Pakistan. One of the most popular festivals of Hinduism, it spiritually signifies the victory of light over darkness, good over evil and knowledge over ignorance and hope over despair. Its celebration includes millions of lights shining on housetops outside the door and windows and temples and other buildings in the communities and countries where it is observed. Diwali is also called DEEPAVALI, it is usually observed by Hindus, Sikhs, Jains and Newar Buddhists. it can be religious, cultural or seasonal, it involves Diya and lightning, home decoration, shopping fireworks puja(prayers), gifts performing religious rituals, feast and sweets .it start with dhanteras and endsBhai dooj (two days after Diwali), it doesn’t have a specific date, it varies per Hindu calendar.it is related to Kali puja, galanga, Diwali,Jainism,Bandi Chhor,divas,Tihar Santi. Diwali night people clean, renovate and decorate their homes and offices, on Diwali night, people dress up in new clothes or their best outfit, light up diyas(lamps and candles)inside and outside their home people participate in family puja(prayers)typically to Lakshmi(the goddess of fertility and prosperity)after puja fireworks follow, then a family feast including mithai(sweets)and exchange of gifts between family members and close friends Deepavali also marks a major shopping period  in nations where it is celebrated. 
The name of festive days, as well as the rituals of Diwali, vary significantly among Hindus, based on the religion of India in any part of India the festivities start with dhanteras (in northern and western part of India) followed by Naraka Chaturdashi on the second day, Deepavali on the third day. Diwali padva dedicated to the wife-husband relationship on the fourth day and festivities end with Bhai dooj dedicated to sister-brother bond on the fifth day. Dhanteras usually falls eighteen days after Dussehra on the same night that Hindus celebrate Diwali, Jains celebrate a festival also called Diwali to mark the attainment of moksha by Mahavira,Sikhs celebrate Bandi Chhor Divas to mark the release of Guru Hargobind from a Mughal empire prison and newer Buddhists, unlike the majority of Buddhists celebrate Diwali by worshipping Lakshmi. 
The festival preparations and rituals typically extend over a five-day period, at the main festival night of Diwali coincides with the darkest new moon night of the Hindu lunisolar month in Kartika in Bikram sambat calendar (the month of aippasi in the Tamil calendar).in the Gregorian calendar, Diwali night falls between the mid-October and mid-November. Diwali marks a major shopping period in India.it is also the equivalent of Christmas in the west.it is traditionally a time when households purchase new clothing, home refurbishment, gifts, gold and other large purchase. Diwali is a peak buying season for gold and jewelry in India.it is also a major sweets candy and fireworks buying season.2017 Diwali falls on 19th October and 18th October in south India.

Diwali is the festival of light & peace. In this day we are all happy with enjoying the day.It is a basically Hindu festival. Diwali is also a major shopping festival of all Indian.
